Base Technical Support Supervisor

Your Opportunity
We are looking to hire an Electrical Technician who will oversee the planning and scheduling of all resources required to deliver the maintenance service including specifying procedures, parts, labour, and the control of specialist service delivery partners. Once tasks are completed, audit to ensure that workmanship is to the required standards. Will also supervise Electrical Supervisor, Technician or Technical Assistants (Electrical, ELV, Plumbing, HVAC and Mechanical).
The ideal candidate should be Flexibility, excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key issues. the Candidate should be able to lead the team and foster good relations with stakeholders (i.e. - Client, customer, colleagues etc).
This role will work closely with our technical team and stakeholders in one of our prestigious contracts in Dubai - MELABS
Key accountabilities
- Provide overall technical support to the contract/project on all associated equipment and systems.
- Lead and supervise Serco MELABS Electrical supervisor, Serco Technicians, and subcontractors effectively.
- Ensure that work is performed as per relevant Australian Standards, HSE regulations, UAE municipal by-laws, government legislation and Building codes.
- Provide guidance to subordinate staff on resolving operational and compliance issues.
- Maintain good and harmonious relationships with clients and other stakeholders, to clear operation bottlenecks.
- Assist the Base Operations Manager in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all Base Operations services. Recommend improvements to existing standards and procedures. Review, update, recommend updates / changes of SOPs to ensure they remain current and effective with every Enterprise Organizational Change or standards.
- Assist and support the Base Ops Manager in the effective management and delivery of Estate Upkeep and Maintenance plan (Comprehensive Maintenance Plan) and provide timely reports.
- Maintain up-to-date manuals for all equipment and provide regular training to staff on safe equipment handling and operation.
Specific requirements
- Minimum 10 -12-year experience in operating in an operations engineering department within a building service, facilities management organization for a high rise commercial or residential building at management level.
- 4 years minimum supervisory experience with the ability to manage maintenance teams.
- Three-year degree the relevant technical trade.
- NEBOSH IGC course certified.
- Technically competent with a clear knowledge and experience of building services system, life safety and buildings controls systems
- Having worked on a military base or prison or remote area will be highly regarded.
