Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Travel across sites in Gloucestershire (GL3 1HW)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM, including on call rota 1 week in 5
Salary: Up to £35,000 dependent on experience with stand by fee of £21.50 per day. Double time during first 2 hours then 1 and a half time after.
Within VIVO we are currently recruiting for an Electrician to undertake reactive, planned preventative and remedial electrical works on several of our sites in Gloucestershire, including Imjin Barracks and Ashchurch.
Reporting to the Works Supervisor, you will be part of a team of 5 electricians and a team of 21 in total to undertake planned preventive maintenance, reactive and remedial works on a variety of buildings. As you will be lone working, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and is able to manage their own time, but also can work in a team when necessary.
You will be assigned work tasks through the central Helpdesk to a PDA, then you will self-schedule your day whilst ensuring all tasks are completed during the set time scales to a high quality. You will sign in to the site in which your tasks are nearest to and then start any works.
This role will see you carry out works on warehouses, offices, hangars and other commercial and industrial buildings such as; installing new light fittings, emergency light testing, replacing faulty UPS units, generator testing, distribution board checks and any other ad hoc work as necessary.

What you'll need to do this role
First of all, it is essential that you have your C&G 2357 NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation. You will also need to have completed your 18th edition qualification. You will need previous experience in electrical work in a commercial or industrial background.
This role will include travel within multiple locations so you must hold a full, clean UK driving licence. A company van will be provided for business use.
It is highly desirable that you have a C&G 2391 in Inspections and Testing and an accredited Health and Safety qualification. It is also ideal that you have Asbestos Awareness training. It is also desirable that you have experience of operating within either an MOD or Construction/Property Maintenance environment.
You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
