About the Role
Join our Civilian team at Oakey Health Centre, located just 3km from Oakey at the Army Aviation Centre. With approximately 500 members, we provide a range of healthcare services, including primary and aviation medical, dental, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical, and mental health support.
You'll primarily work at the Oakey Health Centre, with occasional shifts at Cabarlah as needed. Standard operating hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Morning Routine: Start your day with a two-hour sick parade, triaging and assisting patients with injuries or illnesses.
- Patient Care: Provide outpatient assessments, administer medications, and deliver holistic care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Registered Nurse on duty to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Record Management: Maintain and update clinical records, file reports, and manage bookings.
- Clinical Judgement: Apply your expertise within your scope of practice to assess and treat patients.
- Observation & Reporting: Alert your clinical supervisor to any unusual trends or incidents.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Current, unrestricted registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with AHPRA.
- At least 2 years of full-time post-registration nursing experience in the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent), ideally in acute care, primary healthcare, or a military setting.
- Participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in line with AHPRA standards.
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
- Australian Citizenship to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
