As part of our continuous growth in the region, we're building a talent pool for future opportunities, including a potential role for a General Manager specializing in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM). This is not an active role but an opportunity to express your interest in upcoming openings.

 

Key Accountabilities

While this is not a current vacancy, the following responsibilities represent the type of work anticipated for this role:

  • Report to the Citizen Services & Defense Operations Director, managing stakeholder relationships across a wide range of client representatives.
  • Oversee the overall delivery and performance of a multiservice IFM contract, including Estates Management, Support Services, and Soft Services.
  • Drive and deliver transformation programs for second-generation IFM service delivery contracts.
  • Ensure the implementation of integrated asset management technology platforms, delivered on time and fully functional as per contract commitments.
  • Manage Serco's Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and their appointed specialist providers.
  • Lead "Operational Excellence" initiatives by adopting and implementing LEAN strategies and processes.

 

What We Are Looking For in Our Candidates

We're seeking a candidate with:

  • Knowledge of both international and local (UAE) statutory and legislated requirements for managing large properties.
  • Experience in delivering customer/client excellence in high-profile and executive facilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop close working relationships with clients, ensuring mutual success and contract longevity.
  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement processes and exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, employees, customers, contractors, and stakeholders.

 

Specific Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing within a Facilities Management (FM) environment.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplined people managers, including support functions (e.g., finance, procurement).
  • Proven ability to lead a diverse, multi-cultured, multi-disciplined workforce to achieve high-quality service delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of asset management, including delivery of ISO 55001 standards.
  • Extensive experience with CAFM systems such as FSI Concept Evolution, IBM Maximo, or Tririga.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver digital asset management strategies.
  • Financial management expertise, with a proven ability to control and meet budget objectives.
  • Degree in Facilities Management or a related qualification.
