Location: RAF Lakenheath, Brandon, Suffolk
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Within VIVO we are currently recruiting for a Handyperson who will successfully deliver certain Planned Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, Billable works and direct works on Married Family Houses (MFH) on RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Feltwell.
Reporting into the MFH Manager, you will be delivering works such as preparing MFH for decoration by removing door furniture, door, floor and ceiling repairs, maintenance checks on all fabric items and minor plumbing checks and repairs on sinks and taps and touch up painting. You will also be liaising with other trades during MFH change of occupancy.
These tasks must be completed within agreed timescales and to a high standard.
All your tasks will be scheduled for you, and you will use smart phones, tablets and laptops as part of your role to receive maintenance jobs and update on their progress.
What you'll need to do this role
First and foremost, you should have experience of working in fabric and maintenance background, and must have an in depth knowledge of fabric repairs. You must have good communication skills and a solid understanding of health and safety rules and legislation. You will be used to working to tight timescales and to a high standard.
You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance and have a full UK driving licence to be considered for this role.
