12 months fixed term contract (Maternity Cover)
Full Time, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week
Salary: £25,200 per annum plus benefits
This is an exciting and varied role within the Military HR/Pay and Allowances department of the Defence Academy of the UK, an MOD site near Shrivenham Village. Embedded with our MOD colleagues, the team are responsible for the accurate management of pay, allowances and many other aspects of the UK Military HR packages. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, possess a high level of attention to detail, be organised, able to prioritise and have a good capacity for learning new skills and understanding regulations. Full training and ongoing mentoring will be provided.
While this position is to cover a period of maternity leave, we know that there will be a permanent contract becoming available in the short-term and hope that the person recruited can become a permanent member of our team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Administrator with a good level of general education, preferably with the following:
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete the Security Check (SC) process within the first 3 months of employment. Serco will arrange this on your behalf.
