Job Coach - Self Employment
Restart, Office based at our Cardiff Office
Up to £36k Depending on experience
Our Skills and Employability business provides support to citizens, from supporting the unemployed into sustainable work, to upskilling those with low or no vocational skills, so they can progress in work.
The Restart Scheme helps people who have been unemployed and in receipt of Universal Credit or Jobseekers' Allowance (IB) for at least 6 months to get back into work. We comprehensively assess Participants' needs and motivations using our evidence-based employability model and work with our network of trusted providers and partners to help break down barriers to work, enabling them to progress towards a more secure future.
One of these needs is support in developing Self Employment aspirations, assisting participants to develop, incept or grow their business idea into a gainful and sustainable endeavour by offering professional advice and coaching.
The Self Employment Coach will work across one or more of our offices (dependant on demand)
Serco aim to offer to support to participants in the following areas:
Advice for participants will be on a 1:1 basis as well as through group workshops and awareness sessions.
Participant progress will be monitored by feedback forms that need to be uploaded onto the customer system - Aptem
The Self Employment Coach will work with a caseload of participants, working with them on the forementioned areas to become gainfully self employed as quickly as possible.
