Contract Type: Permanent, full-time 40 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday covering either 6.30am - 3pm or 9am - 5:30pm + Saturday shifts are required to do after bank holidays which will be paid at time & a half.
Salary: £28,710.45 per annum + Excellant benefits & overtime.
An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are looking for a Chargehand to join the team.
Serco's Environmental Services provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of the residents in the local community. With a professional, dedicated and friendly team of Refuse and Recycling workers, we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve. And right now, we have an opportunity for a like-minded individual to join our team of essential key workers and help us make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in.
You will support supervisors by directly overseeing and organising refuse and cleaning operations as a chargehand.
As part of this you'll:
What you'll need to do the role
You will hold an HGV licence or be willing to undertake training to obtain your HGV licence.
You will have good organisational and people management skills.
A supervisory / management qualification or training is desirable, but not essential.
Experience within the waste industry is a must.
You will be confident with using computers, Microsoft excel and completing spreadsheets.
